Looking for a romantic night out at a local restaurant with great food, great service and a great atmosphere? One of the best things you can do to spoil a loved one is to take them out to a nice meal at a restaurant where they will feel as though they were royalty.
At Cellini Wine & Dine you and your loved one will have the pleasure of experiencing one of the most quaint and unique dining experiences available. We pride ourselves in the rich history of our restaurant, and the building in which it stands. Our restaurant is named after Piju Cellini, a reputable designer and painter who was born in 1863. Piju Cellini, who designed Naxxar’s parish church door, was a good friend of Dun Salvatore Bonavia, who lived in the townhouse in which our restaurant operates, until his death in 1946. These two spent many hours sitting and conversing in this house, likely about designs for the church door, among many other things. It is this very relaxed and pleasant environment that we hope to communicate and maintain for our clients day after day, year after year.
Our reputable and reasonable menu consists of typical, yet expertly made items as our Trio Bruscetta, which includes Balbuljata (Maltese Scrambled Eggs), Bigilla (mashed beans), and aubergine dip. If you want to start with a seafood dish you can also choose either prawns in tempura or our Calamari fritti. For our mouthwatering mains we specialise in a wide range of pasta dishes and meats. A traditional Maltese restaurant wouldn’t be complete without the traditional Maltese rabbit stew. We slow cook our rabbit in garlic, carrots, peas, potatoes and our chef’s special sauce. We also expertly cook and offer our Orange duck, local pork fillet, fresh chicken grilled and served with truffle sauce and walnuts, fresh oven baked Salmon, or a fresh rib-eye steak grilled to your enjoyment. All of our mains come with potatoes and vegetables of the day. We can accommodate food allergies.
Bookings are available for private functions as well.
