One of the Institute of Tourism Studies’ (ITS) training restaurants, The Voyage is located within our Luqa campus in the centre of the town and offers students the ideal set-up and tools for them to bring their A game both in the kitchen and on the table.
Bringing together the talent and passion of students from various culinary, pastry-making, management and service study programmes, dishes are prepared with care and absolute attention to detail, while they are served by the students themselves under the supervision of our experienced and professional tutors. Open for both lunch and dinner, our opening hours greatly depend on the class schedule, which means that the menu also changes from time-to-time to reflect the needs of the students’ study programme.
The flavourful dishes are prepared on the day and may include enticing options like our variety of amuse-bouche such as the smoked oysters, spinach rocher and cucumber ketchup, as well as an assortment of other dishes like the stuffed pasta parcels with ricotta and fine herbs accompanied by a forest mushroom sauce, a plate of delicate foie gras or the rock oyster, Parma ham and Chlorophyll barley risotto with lemon air and red pepper paint.
What’s more, student’s culinary flair is transferred to our in-house bakery which means that our restaurant features freshly baked bread such as the honey and mustard wholegrain bread with walnut glaze. Suffering from food intolerances? Clients can still tantalise their taste buds with crusty or soft gluten-free bread. Bring your meal to a sweet end with something different and innovative like our Guinness ice-cream. True to its name, the restaurant manages to take clients’ on a true culinary journey of flavours thanks to the tasting menu which is offered during the evenings and consists of six house-made courses.
