With more than 10,000 members affiliated with the Federazzjoni Kaccaturi Nassaba Konservazzjonisti (FKNK), we are the largest NGO in the Maltese Islands. Our main priority since being established way back in 1973 has constantly been that of preserving and safeguarding the socio-cultural activities which Malta boasts of.

If you're interested in knowing more about the richness one can find in the local environment, the FKNK (VO/0306) organises outdoor activities on a regular basis. These events are open to the general public and are held in beautiful locations such as Buskett or other spaces which highlight the natural Maltese green environment beautifully. As a voluntary organisation, we have the aim of educating the public about the respect everyone Read Moreshould have towards our natural environment. Be it about fauna, flora or birds, we seek to focus on Malta's natural habitat in general. It's very important that the few recreational spaces Malta has to offer are safeguarded and protected without any illegal actions. Hence, like this, we strive to continue to protect Malta's traditions and culture. Our outdoor activities serve to observe migratory birds closely, illustrate bird photography by local talent, discuss and inform, and also talk about one of the oldest Maltese traditions, that is, falconry. Apart from interactive open-air activities where one can come learn more about the various species found in the Maltese Islands, we also organise target shooting competitions.

The FKNK is not simply a home where hunters and trappers gather to share their passion. It's more than that! We are constantly working hand-in-hand with other local and international organisations in enhancing Malta's natural habitat. Stay in touch with us to know more about our events!
