At Id-Dar Tal-Providenza it is our greatest joy and passion to provide a residential, familial environment for persons with disabilities. We believe that it is our mission to provide persons with disabilities individualised care in a nurturing community which empowers them to live their life to the fullest extent possible. We foster a community which respects the privacy, autonomy and interdependence of community members, so as to ensure that residents can fully participate in society. As our name suggests, we believe highly in Divine Providence,  which ensures that we will never be lacking in appropriate resources, and furthermore in the Gospel and teaching of the Catholic Church. At the foremost of this for us is that all life is sacred and has equal value, and that respect is intrinsic to all persons.

Our organisation is made up of three residence centres and four community homes around Malta, which are home to Read Moreapproximately one-hundred and fifteen individuals from the ages of fourteen to over eighty. As an organisation which believes that family life serves as the core of human society, we additionally offer respite services for family members of persons with disabilities in order to ensure that disabled persons can live with their family members as much as possible.

We are deeply committed to providing residents with religious education. For this reason we are associated with Special Religious Development (SPRED), an organisation devoted to promoting the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the liturgical life of individual parishes. We are also associated with the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD), a non-profit NGO which promotes inclusion and equal opportunities throughout Europe for individuals with disabilities.

Founded by Monsignor Michael Azzopardi, we have been providing residential care services for persons with disabilities in accordance with our devotion to the Gospel and teachings of the Catholic Church for over fifty years.
