Down Syndrome Association is a Non-Profit Organisation which aims to provide information and support for people with Down's syndrome, their families and carers and the professionals who work for them. Established more than 30 years ago, Down Syndrome Association encourage people who have Down Syndrome to fulfill their potential for successful and happy lives, in a society that recognizes their abilities and is supportive of their needs.

At Down Syndrome Association our mission is to increase public awareness and understanding of the nature of Down Syndrome people so they can lead a rewarding and full life. We advocate for their rights and fight so that every person who has Down Syndrome is a valued member of society. We press for better services and greater choice in the facilities offered to children and adults who have Down Syndrome, such as education, therapy, training, and independent living.

If you are the Read Moreparent of a newborn child with Down Syndrome, contact us as soon as possible and we will provide you with advice and support, especially in the early stages of a baby's life. Indeed, we know that many questions and concerns arise when you learn that your child has Down Syndrome. We know it as the majority of our members are parents of persons who have Down Syndrome who have been through this. We are here to support you, help you, and show you that people who have Down Syndrome can fulfill their potential for successful and happy lives.

At Down Syndrome Association we also offer services for people with Down Syndrome, such as aerobic lessons at the Platinum Health & Fitness Centre B'Kara as well as computer lessons and masses at the Down Syndrome Association premises in Valletta.
