For nearly 35 years the Assocjazzjoni Sport Muturi u Karozzi (A S M K) has been the leading sports club for the organisation of motorsports events in Malta since the 1980s. Our original founders both planned and formed the first Committee and Commissions on motorsports, in particular with regard for Trials competitions and displays, in addition to a Commission for Road Racing, a legacy which we are highly proud of. Every year we organise Annual National Championships for events such as Autocross, Banger racing, Motocross, Moto-Enduro, as well as 4x4 Buggy Racing.

As full members affiliated with organisations such as the Italian Motorcycling Federation (FMI), and the European Motorcycling Union (FIM), our association is able to both take part in and even organise motorsports events and competitions in both Malta and abroad. Our extensive network of affiliations ensures that we are able to make use of certain privileges such as coaching Read Moresessions from world class driving instructors, and additionally that our competitions are held to the highest safety specifications as set by European standards.

Our organisation is affiliated with a large range of local car and motorcycle clubs including: Classic Ford Club Malta, Island Kart Club Malta, Island Car Club Malta, and the Malta Drag Racing Association.

The Assocjazzjoni Sport Muturi u Karozzi was founded in april of 1985 as an organization for the purpose of organising and raising awareness of motorsports competitions within Malta. In our early years during the building of the Ta Qali race track were the sole organisers of motorsports events in the region. In 1990 we became the first organisers of the Autocross Championship for 1400cc engines.
