She has worked as a freelance translator for five years, after more than 25 years in administration, research and education. She is registered with Malta's Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs as an official translator.

Translation covers English, Italian and Maltese. She often receives requests to translate Italian to English and translate Maltese to English. Her work includes certificates, diplomas, academic transcripts, contracts, manuals, books and website translation projects. Other work covers European Union documents, surveys and building material papers, such as gypsum products. This needs technical translation skill.

Certified translation is available for Read Moreofficial documents. These must be accepted by authorities in Malta or abroad. A certified translation can be authenticated with an Apostille. An Apostille is an official stamp that makes a translation valid abroad. Common examples include birth, marriage and academic certificates. Other documents that need official recognition can also be discussed.

Beyond translation, aMICA Translate also offers transcription. This covers recorded lectures, meetings and discussions in English, Italian and Maltese. Files can be sent as mp3 or mp4. Editing, reviewing and proofreading are also available, either as part of a larger project or on their own. Sometimes a computer translates the text first, and aMICA Translate then checks and corrects it. This option is faster and cheaper than a full translation.
