Paul Spiteri was born in Malta. After graduating in Economics from the University of Malta, he pursued a Master Degree in Business Administration, earning honours in both. He embarked on a career in economic development at Malta Development Corporation, and held a managerial role at global British American Tobacco plc.



For 10 years he was appointed as a Board Member in several public corporations including HR Board within the Malta Tourism Authority in 2005. He lectured Economics and Business Management in local colleges.



Paul served as a student group leader for 4 years early 1970s, and followed a refresher tourism professional course at the Malta Institute of Tourism Studies, and holds a Tourist Guide licence No.878. He started tourist guiding in 2013.



Paul studied linguistics and has a university Diploma in Translation in Maltese and English. He has working Read Moreknowledge in Italian, French and English when he had studied overseas in Naples Italy, La Rochelle France and Kingston-Upon-Hull The U.K. He also has basic knowledge of Spanish. 


In March 2020 Paul started following a Master’s Degree in Heritage Interpretation at the Institute of Tourism Studies.


Paul has served 6 years as a Council Member of The Malta Union of Tourist Guides, and is presently its Treasurer.
