When it comes to choosing whether you need restoration or conservation on your particular art item, you need to take a range of factors into consideration, the most important one being whether you want to keep your object safe for future generations, or reconstructing it in a manner that will make it look as if it was new. Through works of restoration, we will return the artefact in question back to its original appearance by whichever means necessary. Oftentimes, the processes that one performs when applying restorative treatments to items mean that the procedure is irreversible.
