At Paul Tanti Ltd., we treat with the utmost care the repair and restoration of antique furniture. Whether you are looking to restore an inherited piece to its original state, or to find something that might complement and enhance existing pieces you might have, we can assure you that as passionate antiquarians our services are well-suited to meet your needs.

Some of the services we offer are: restoration of antique brass and iron beds-it is our firm belief that an antique bed in almost any condition can be repaired and restored with its original fittings and parts, and brass polishing and lacquering, which we do either by machine or by hand, depending on the demands and condition of the item. A layer of lacquer can be applied to the surface of the item in order to maintain its original sheen and eliminate the need for continued polishing. We also offer Read Moreupholstery and gilding, as well as painting services, whereby we use water based paints and apply a wax finish to antique furniture in order to achieve as similar patina as classic French and Scandinavian makers. All of our work can be tailored to accommodate your own personality and decorative style.

We also have a shop and warehouse which is filled with items of both classic and unusual types to choose from. Our catalog ranges from antique beds, chairs and tables to clocks, globes, chimneys, oil and electric lamps and chandeliers. Many of our items are also available for hire or purchase for film and TV productions.
 
Paul Tanti Ltd. is run by Alfred Tanti, the son of Paul Tanti, who began the business over 60 years ago. We have always been and continue to be a well respected purveyor of antique English and Maltese furniture, as well as Melitensia, clocks, lighting and paintings. It is our passion to restore old, unwanted, and unusual furniture to as close to its original glory as possible. Our previous work on antique pieces can be seen in high profile settings throughout Malta such as the President’s office at San Anton Palace, Xara Palace in Mdina, The Museum of Fine Arts in Valletta and more.
