Forget the traditional seafront lido. Noma Island is Malta's only floating beach club, and the only venue of its kind in Europe. It sits moored in the open Mediterranean, just a short boat ride from shore.

The day begins with a shuttle to the departure point. From there, a quick boat transfer carries guests out to the island. Hosts greet every guest at the bow and lead them straight to their sunbed or cabana. The relaxing can begin straight away.

Once aboard, the pool sits at the heart of the experience. Guests can swim, sunbathe and take in panoramic views of the Maltese Islands. The clear waters around Comino are visible on the horizon. Pool bites are on hand for anyone who wants to make a full day of it. A table at the onboard restaurant can also be added for guests who want to stay longer.

Every Saturday, the beach club shifts Read Moregear for the Sunset Experience. From six in the evening, private boat transfers run continuously from Marfa Jetty. Guests watch the sky turn gold over open water. A live DJ takes over from seven. Swimming continues in the warm waters off Comino until the night settles in.

Noma Island operates as an independent platform spanning 1,750 square metres, built to function entirely at sea. It produces its own water on board and runs on low emission engines. A strict zero discharge policy keeps the surrounding waters clean. The crew are certified maritime professionals, and safety is built into every part of the journey from shore.

Booking in advance is recommended, since spaces on the shuttle and sunbeds are limited. Whether it is a relaxed pool day or a lively Saturday sunset, Noma Island delivers something different. It is a beach club experience found nowhere else in Malta.
