Art is one humankinds' greatest forms expression. It is many times the case that we are unable to express ourselves in words, and so can more easily express ourselves with images and, in the case of music, sound. If you are an art enthusiast or know of someone who is, and are looking to have a work or list of works commissioned by a living, highly-regarded artist, then consult the studio of Noel Attard (Nattardo).
Noel Attard has created and commissioned prominent works which have gained him both local and international notoriety as a world class artist. Nattardo has gained exposure and notoriety through pieces he has created for multiple exhibitions since just prior to the early 2000s. His first participation in a collective output was with the Malta Society of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce in Bath, England in 1998. From this time he has participated in a number of Read Morecollective exhibitions in his homeland Malta and internationally until the current day. His exhibitions have been seen at such prominent local venues such as the Loggia National Fine Arts Museum in Valletta, the Valletta City Gate, and most prominently the State Council hall at San Anton Palace-the President's Palace-in Malta.
Noel's work is both ascetic in focus while at the same time conveying only the themes and images which he believes are important for the viewer to grasp. It is difficult, if not impossible for artists to divorce themselves from their works, which is why his works form an important part of his lifestyle, and thus his lifestyle is reflected in his works. His tendency is toward eliminating bodily elements in the depictions he creates, while at the same time experimenting highly with the science and use of perspective, making for a final product which is both vivid and illusive all at once.
Noel Attard, aka Nattardo, was born in April of 1966. His upbringing was one which nurtured in him an interest and passion for the arts at a young age. He began his study of art at the age of ten at Savio College in Dingli, and later pursued further arts education at the Malta Government School of Arts in Valletta, Traga Gap School of Art, and finally completed his theoretical studies by graduating from the University of Malta in 2006 with a degree in History of Art, and eventually gaining an M.A. in Fine Arts
