Say Goodbye To Quarantine With These Events In July
After such a long time of being stuck at home, we are finally ready to welcome summer back in the way we are meant to: by staying out late, mingling with other people and complaining about the heat.
This July marks a special one for Malta, not only is summer officially here, but Covid restrictions will be lifted. Whether you would like to go for quiet walks out in nature, or to mingle with others, you are sure to find the perfect event or gathering in this list.

Here is a list of some events which will be taking place in Malta this month.
Clean Up At Majjistral Park
Date: 4th July
Location: Popeye Village Viewpoint
On this date, Il-Majjistral Nature and History Park will be hosting a Clean Up event in the Prajjet area. Here, you can awe and wonder at some of the pretty coastal flora that Malta has to offer – some of which are endemic. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the Yelkouan Shearwater bird. This event is aimed towards removing any dumped material left in the area. You can book your place by sending an email on [email protected].
APS Summer Festival
Date: 15th July
Location: Valletta Waterfront
The APS Summer Festival will be held at the Valletta Waterfront, and this year they have a number of surprises planned out. On this date, you will be able to enjoy the critically-acclaimed movie Rocketman in this unique location. This festival is produced by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and the Valletta Cruise Port. This event will be held out throughout the month, and a number of different movies and activities will be hosted on different dates.

Fastest5 2020 - Special Night Edition
Date: 17th July
Location: Gnien L-Istazzjon, Birkirkara
Calling all runners: The Fastest5 road race is back – with a twist. Raptors Running Club is organising a special edition of the race which will take place at night. The finishing place will be Gnien L-Istazzjon in Birkirkara.

Malta International Food Festival 2020
Date: 22nd July
Location: Valletta
The Malta International Food Festival is taking place from the 22nd till the 26th of July in Valletta. There will be a number of tasters, over 200 international chefs showcasing their talents, a number of live cooking shows and an entertainment stage.
There will also be a number of exhibitors selling their products and a number of areas where people can relax and enjoy some delicious food.
Entrance is free.
Malta Artisan Markets Summer Evenings at Palazzo Parisio
Date: 25th July
Location: Palazzo Parisio, Naxxar
The Malta Artisan Markets is finally back. This time it will be taking place in the lush gardens of Naxxar's very own Palazzo Parisio. There will be food, drinks, homeware, designer fashion and local delicacies.
Entrance for this event is free, and procedures will be taken to ensure visitors' safety.
Maori Sundown Sundays
Date: Every Sunday
Location: Maori, Valletta
Valletta's greatest chillout spot, Maori has opened its doors once again. Every Sunday of the month, there will be the much anticipated Maori Sundown Sundays. The event starts off at 19:00 on the dot and entrance is free. If you are looking for a place where you can grab a beer with friends and meet new people, this is the place to be.
