If you're looking for the perfect way to round off July, Marsa has you covered. On Thursday 31 July 2026, the Marsa Local Council is bringing Festagħana 2026 to Triq Isouard, a free evening celebration packed with live entertainment, traditional Maltese music and plenty to keep the little ones busy. Doors open at 20:30 and the fun runs until 23:15, and best of all, entrance will not cost you a cent.

A Line Up With Something for Everyone

Headlining the night is none other than Mikiel is-Superstar, joined by comedian Sander, who is sure to keep the crowd in stitches between performances. That is just the start though. A host of special guests will be taking to the stage throughout the evening, including Jeanclaude tal-Fox, Toni l-Pikollin, Joe ta' Raħal Ġdid, Anglu l-Kina and Raymond ir-Ruman.

There is also a lovely local touch to kick things off. Lucia Grech, a talented thirteen year old with a gift for traditional għana, will open the musical part of the festa. For anyone who has not experienced għana before, this is Malta's beloved style of folk singing, and hearing it performed by the next generation makes it all the more special.

A Dedicated Kids Zone

Parents, this one is for you. Festagħana 2026 features a dedicated children's area designed to keep young ones entertained all evening. Expect hoppers to bounce on, tractors to clamber over, face painting for those who fancy a new look, and a penalty shootout for budding footballers. When all that activity works up an appetite, food and drink will be available on site too.

What You Need to Know

The event takes place on Triq Isouard in Marsa, right in the heart of the community. With free entry, a full programme of entertainment and activities for all ages, it promises to be one of the highlights of the Marsa summer calendar. Whether you are a lifelong festa lover or simply after a fun family night out, Festagħana 2026 is well worth marking in your diary.

So gather the family, bring your festa spirit and head down to Marsa on 31 July. An evening of music, laughter and community awaits.
