Isla, or Citta Invicta, make up one of the Three Cities. It is located in the South Eastern area of Malta overlooking the mesmerising Grand Harbour. The Isla Local Council works tirelessly in order to ensure that Isla and its inhabitants are safeguarded. We work to preserve the city's beautiful architectural and historical value, provide support and holistic services for the citizens of Isla, as well as organise various cultural events to keep the city alive. 

Our team is made up of dedicated individuals whose aim has always been to work for both Isla as a city and its many inhabitants. The team, includes the mayor Mr Gusiepe Casha, the vice mayor Mr Clive Pulis, Mrs Malcom Gatt, Mr Chris Cocker and Mr Antony Bonavia who act as councillors and the executive secretary Ms Graziella Cassar Gellel.  

At the Isla Local Council, we are able to provide various services for the public. Read MoreThese include the issuing of permits for skips, activities, cranes and other vehicles, etc, as well as payment of rented governmental properties, GO plc telephone bills and contraventions. Apart from these services, we also offer bulky refuse collection services from private residences. 

As part of our efforts to always work for our residents, we can also provide other services such as the private use of the Council's hall as well as il-Gardiola gardens for any functions and events which our residents or organisations may have. We also have a public library so that all Isla residence can further their knowledge, culture and education. Throughout the years, we have always worked to improve these services, by constantly renovating and upgrading these public spaces. We have also installed free Wi-Fi hotspots at our offices as well as 4th September Square.
