Invicta Ltd is a family-run business established in 1947 by its founder Publius Farrugia, after serving in the Royal Air Force during the war. Following his father's footsteps in the brass foundry trade, and after acquiring experience in the process of Nickle and Chrome plating, he started the manufacturing of various chrome plated fittings and ornaments for the decoration of public transport and private buses which are still synonymous with Maltese public and foreigners.

The year 1954 was a giant's leap forward with the introduction of 'Chrome Tubular Furniture', which upgraded the name of Invicta Works, the name of the firm at that time, to become one of the most renowned furniture manufacturing firms on the Maltese Islands. Complementing the range with home, hospital, cafeterias and office furniture was the fulfilment of the founder's dream to expand the business of modern furniture. For the next forty years, the company moved forward in expanding and investing in latest technology machinery until the time when statistics proved manufacturing was losing ground fast and was not viable anymore to produce. A decision was taken and manufacturing made way for the importation of knocked-down furniture from a reputable company, the third largest in Europe represented locally by Invicta. The business is now run by the family's third generation, with an asset of experience in the field, offering Government Departments/Entities and the private sector with quality products and excellent after-sales service with satisfaction.

Workshops, stores and the main sales outlet are in the area of Msida and complementing the showroom in Qormi for the convenience of clients. Invicta's vision for the near future is to expand by widening its range of products to reach the local market's demand.
