Learn all about Invicta Ltd, Office Furniture in Msida, - Malta
Invicta Ltd is a family-run business established in 1947 by its founder, Publius Farrugia, following his service in the Royal Air Force during World War II. Drawing inspiration from his father’s legacy in the brass foundry trade, and with a growing interest in the processes of nickel and chrome plating, he began to innovate in the production of decorative metal fittings. He initially focused on manufacturing a wide range of chrome-plated fittings and ornaments specifically designed for the decoration of public transport and private buses. These high-quality, meticulously crafted items became synonymous with both the Maltese public’s daily life and with Malta’s reputation for craftsmanship, earning recognition from both locals and foreign visitors alike.
The year 1954 was a giant’s leap forward with the introduction of ‘Chrome Tubular Furniture’, a move that elevated the reputation of Invicta Works (the firm’s name at the time) to one of the most renowned furniture manufacturers on the Maltese Islands. By expanding the Read Moreproduct range to include furniture for homes, hospitals, cafeterias, and offices, the founder’s vision of modern furniture production was fully realized.
In 1969, Invicta Works was registered as a limited liability company under the name ‘INVICTA LTD.’ By then, the company was being managed by the second generation of the Farrugia family and employed over a hundred skilled workers, the majority of whom were tradesmen.
For the next forty years, the company focused on expanding and investing in the latest technological machinery. However, as time passed, statistics began to show a rapid decline in the viability of manufacturing, which eventually led to a pivotal decision. The company shifted its strategy, transitioning from manufacturing to importing knocked-down furniture from a reputable European supplier, the second-largest in Europe, which is exclusively represented by Invicta in the local market.
Today, the business is managed by the third generation of the founding family. Led by three experienced directors and an asset of experience in the field, the company continues to deliver high-quality products and exceptional after-sales service to both government departments/entities and the private sector, ensuring customer satisfaction at every level.
The workshops, stores, main sales outlet, and head office are strategically located in the heart of Msida, providing easy access to customers. This central hub enables Invicta to streamline operations and maintain efficient distribution channels. Looking ahead, Invicta’s vision for the near future is to continue its growth by expanding its product offerings. By broadening the range of products available, the company aims to better align with the evolving needs and demands of its customers, ensuring it remains competitive and responsive to their expectations.
