Invicta Ltd is a family-run business established in 1947 by its founder Publius Farrugia, after serving in the Royal Air Force during the war. Following his father's footsteps in the brass foundry trade, and after acquiring experience in the process of Nickle and Chrome plating, he started the manufacturing of various chrome plated fittings and ornaments for the decoration of public transport and private buses which are still synonymous with Maltese public and foreigners.
The year 1954 was a giant's leap forward with the introduction of 'Chrome Tubular Furniture', which upgraded the name of Invicta Works, the name of the firm at that time, to become one of the most renowned furniture manufacturing firms on the Maltese Islands.
