Essential Funeral (burial without church service), from €975. This is the most economical funeral option in Read MoreMalta. It includes remote support from a funeral director with a full arrangements checklist, and collection of the medical death certificate. It also covers permission for burial at your chosen cemetery and coordination with the hospital and cemetery. You receive a solid wood unvarnished coffin with inner lining, pillow and optional cross, plus hearse and driver from the mortuary directly to the cemetery.

Traditional Funeral (simple ceremony with church service), from €1,595. This package covers everything in the Essential Funeral. It adds coordination with the church, a dignified solid wood coffin, and hearse transport from the mortuary to the church and then to the cemetery. It also includes a car for the family or priest and two uniformed coffin bearers throughout the service.

Premium Funeral (full-service church funeral), from €2,295. This package includes a personal meeting with a funeral arranger and full coordination with the hospital, church, cemetery and all other parties. It provides a premium high-quality solid wood coffin with an optional cross or crucifix, hearse and family car, and four uniformed coffin bearers. A funeral director also attends and oversees the arrangements on the day of the funeral.



Cremation Services in Malta – Cremation in Sicily

Cremation is not yet available on the island, so Affordable Funerals provides complete cremation packages for Maltese families. Cremations are held at Misterbianco in Catania, Sicily. The team handles all preparations, paperwork, formalities and logistics. Families may attend the cremation, or the ashes can be returned to Malta by courier.
