There is something almost sinful about a rich cup of hot chocolate. Whether you top it with marshmallows or cream, it is a very indulgent drink. If you're looking to treat yourself to a decadent drink that will be hard to put down, one of these is sure to fit the bill!

French vanilla hot chocolate

French vanilla hot chocolate is a firm favourite of ours when the nights begin to cool.

Ingredients

1 cup of milk

1 tablespoon good quality cocoa

1 teaspoon of sugar,

1 teaspoon of French vanilla creamer

½ teaspoon of French syrup (optional)

Whipped cream

Method

Warm the milk in a saucepan until up to drinking temperature. Add the cocoa and sugar and mix well. Then add the French Vanilla and the syrup if you like it sweeter. Pour carefully into your favourite mug and top with a crown of whipped cream. That's it!

Cinnamon hot chocolate

Cinnamon goes very well with chocolate and is one of our favourite spices. That makes this cinnamon hot chocolate recipe a
sure fire winner as far as we are concerned!

Ingredients

4 tablespoons of quality cocoa

2 tablespoons of cornflour

3 tablespoons icing sugar

100g finely grated quality dark chocolate

Pinch of cinnamon

Pinch of sea salt

1l of milk

Method

Pour the milk into a saucepan and heat until almost boiling. Add all of the dry ingredients to a jar and combine. Add 10 tablespoons of the mix to the saucepan and whisk and leave for 3-4 minutes to heat through.
Pour into your favourite mug and enjoy.

Baileys hot chocolate

This hot chocolate drink is a little different as we are using the grill instead of just the saucepan. Bear with us, it's well worth the effort.

Ingredients

1l of milk

150g chocolate chips

120ml of Baileys Irish Cream

Marshmallows to top

Method

Add the milk to a saucepan and heat through. Add the chocolate chips and melt while gently whisking. Once melted, add the Baileys and stir. Pour into oven-safe mugs.
Turn on your grill to a low heat. Add the marshmallows to the top of the mug and put them under the grill. Watch the marshmallows brown and melt and then remove once fully toasted. Remove carefully and drink.
