Back in January, local gallery owner Christine Xuereb Seidu issued a call for both local and international artists to participate in an exhibition titled 20x20. 50 artists specialising in a range of different mediums were chosen to exhibit their work, displayed on a limited scale of 20 by 20cm.

The exhibition was due to take place from the 1st until the 16th of May at Christine X Art Gallery in Sliema. However, the unexpected turn of events that took the world by storm, have forced the curator to think outside the box and readjust the original plan.

Rather than postponing or cancelling the event, Xuereb Seidu took the bold decision of digitising the exhibition – providing a virtual space for art aficionados and creators to connect; to share, view and purchase artworks, irrespective of their physical location.

The exhibition, which will be split into three distinct categories – photography, design and painting – will feature an eclectic range of styles, mediums and emotions.

From hand-created silver gelatin prints, to abstract paintings and digital artworks, the exhibition's diverse and multi-disciplinary repertoire is bound to capture the imagination of any audience, irrespective of personal taste.

Christine X Art Gallery's subscribers will be getting an exclusive first viewership of the collection, which will be made available to the wider public on the 1st of May.
