Recently, Timberland extended its service offering to include life and general insurance after obtaining authorization from the Malta Financial Services Authority, to be enrolled as a Tied Insurance Intermediary under the Insurance Distribution Act. 

 

Timberland shall offer general insurance distribution services covering accident and health, motor, marine and transport, and liability insurance amongst others.  For its general insurance business, Timberland is enrolled as a Tied Insurance Intermediary for Bonnici Insurance Agency Ltd, a tied agent for Mapfre Middlesea plc. Meanwhile, Timberland shall also act as Tied Insurance Intermediary for and on behalf of Mapfre MSV Life plc for the distribution of life insurance products. These life insurance products range from protection plans, single premium to regular savings plans.
