I needed a simple metal staircase as part of a permit sanctioning obligation, with a strict deadline of six months. Salvu assured me repeatedly that six months was more than enough time and that the staircase would be completed well ahead of schedule. For six months, I chased him relentlessly, calling every week and even going to Gozo three times. Each time, I was told he was “working on it.” This was a complete lie.

The six-month deadline passed and there was no staircase, not even a start. Because of this, I was forced to pay my architect to issue an official letter to the Planning Authority to explain the delay. When I finally insisted that the staircase must be completed by the seventh month at the latest and made it clear that any further delay would mean I would only pay half, his response was simply to tell me to go somewhere else. At that point, it became obvious that he had never started the work at all.

A total waste of time, money, and energy. Zero professionalism, zero accountability, and an absolutely disgraceful attitude. Avoid at all costs.
