Hello March, we're happy to see you! In our minds, March is just another way of saying Spring, warmer weather, and the much anticipated Maltese sunshine. This is also coupled with the fact that we will be enjoying two weekday public holidays (yes!!) and so it would be an understatement to say that we are looking forward to March. 

Without further ado, here are some of the events that have caught our attention and that we're including in our diaries for the upcoming month:

The 2020 GiG Malta Marathon 

Date: 01/03/2020

An event that certainly needs no introduction! Run the full marathon, opt for the half marathon or choose the walkathon.

Location: Manoel Theatre 

An operatic masterpiece if ever there was one! Immerse yourself in Rossini's Otello and enjoy a spectacle like no other at the sumptuous Manoel Theatre.

The Addams Family

Location: Mediterranean Conference Centre

We're going to go ahead and say it; it's impossible not to love this adorably dark family. 

The Addams Family musical promises to provide amusement and entertainment for little ones and grown-ups alike.

ŻiguŻajg Explorers and Heroes: Kids Dig Science

Date: 14/03/2020

Location: St James Cavalier

The much-loved ŻiguŻajg provides plenty of cultural fun for children and young people.  

The team behind this awesome initiative will be teaming up with Science in the City and the Malta Chamber of Commerce to provide a fun-filled educational afternoon for little ones between the ages of 5 and 10.

St. Patrick's Day

Location: St. Julian's 

It's that time of the year where it's all about leprechauns and clovers! 

If Guinness is your tipple of choice or you enjoy a boisterous atmosphere (or both), then you'll definitely have fun hanging out in St. Julian's on this day! The area truly comes alive on the day with round-the-clock merriment for everyone. 

The Feast of St. Joseph 

Date: 19/03/2020

Location: Rabat 

The Feast of St. Joseph is a permanent feature on the Maltese cultural calendar with fully-fledged celebrations taking place in Rabat and Mdina. So go on and immerse yourself in the glorious sights of a Maltese festa while treating yourself to a scrumptious zeppola (or two!)

Spring Equinox 

Date: 19/03/2020 - 20/03/2020 

Location: Mnajdra Temples 

There is nothing quite like the magical Equinox phenomenon at the Mnajdra Temples and it is truly a unique experience to see the first rays of the sun illuminate this mystical temple.

Heritage Malta is offering a small number of visitors the possibility to experience this beautiful sight on the 19th and 20th March.

Sister Act - The Musical

A long weekend in Gozo is always a good idea, but it's even better if the great Sister Act musical is part of the equation.
