Zebbug is a lovely quaint town in the midst of Gozo, nestled in the northern part of the island. The local council’s job is mainly that of keeping the town clean. It’s a system that presents a sort of local government that gives the citizens of Zebbug control of certain aspects when it comes to their life in our town. From social activities to traffic flows, improvements and planting of trees, our main aim is that of beautifying our town in a spectacular and dignified manner.
Zebbug is one of the highest located villages in Gozo above sea level, and it has been used for eons to grow olive trees. Historically, Zebbug as a town goes back to the Bronze Age. our town is home to several silo pits that are still visible in certain areas. Oftentimes, pottery shards from the age are still found scattered around.
