Five ways to look fabulous this summer

Even though we have a great climate all year round, it's still the summer that brings out our desire to look good. With that in mind, we have put together five ways to look fabulous this summer. No matter how much heat, humidity, sunshine or saltwater you expose yourself to, you can still look great!
1. Keep hydrated
Water is an essential part of our existence and should form part of everyone's daily routine. If you want to look good this summer, having healthy skin that is in good condition is a great way to start. Water can help achieve that. Drinking water helps flush out toxins and helps skin maintain elasticity. Both help your skin glow and look good. Hydration also plays a part in being able to enjoy the heat and the sunshine so has an added bonus.
There is no shortcut to really looking fabulous for summer. A healthy body not only looks the part, it also works well too. Introducing even 15 minutes of light exercise a day into your routine can help banish that belly or bingo wings and give you the confidence you need to enjoy summer. Try light aerobic exercise, walk to work or to school instead of drive, walk the dog a bit further or faster or take up a sport. Your body will thank you for it in so many ways!
There is nothing like a good skin scrub to go out with the old and in with the new. Use either a mechanical exfoliant or a product to remove old skin and make room for the new. Building this into a weekly routine will ensure your skin always looks fresh and full of life. Combined with sufficient water intake and a healthy diet, your skin will have everything it needs to keep looking fabulous in the sunshine.
4. Shimmer in the sun
The shimmer is a great summer look. Adding a little shimmer or glimmer to either your moisturiser or sunblock, or buying one of these products with glimmer already added, your skin can literally glow with health. You can either add it for an all over shimmer or add it to specific areas you want to highlight. Good places for shimmer are collarbone, legs and shoulders.
If you spend more time outside during the summer, your hair will come under a lot of pressure from the sun and salt water. If you don't counteract that with some extra attention it will soon begin looking dry and straggly. Make sure to use a deep conditioner after washing to protect the hair as much as possible. If your hair still goes dry, consider massaging with a coconut hair oil or even olive oil to keep the scalp and hair moist.
