4 Great Ways To Celebrate Father's Day This Year
by Chiara Micallef
While some Covid restrictions have been lifted on the 7th of June, most of us are still not completely sure on how to celebrate Father's Day. Most of us will opt for a lovely lunch at a good restaurant, while others would much rather spend this special day at home.
Whether you've decided to spend Father's Day feasting on a meal fit for kings, or you'd much rather spend some quality time at home, we have compiled a list of activities to show the king of your life how much you appreciate everything that he does.
1. Indulge In Casual Activities
A great way to spend Father's Day is to relax. Whether you choose to organise a relaxed picnic, go on a well-deserved hike or explore an area in Malta which you have never visited, taking your dad out for a walk might be a great way to catch up and bond with the rest of the family. You can also opt to visit some of Malta's many open-air historical sites for an added pinch of adventure.
2. Fire Up The Grill
What's a better way to spend Father's Day than having a good old fashioned barbeque? Visit one of the many amazing butcher shops in Malta to get your hands on a delectable choice of meats, sausages and tasty morsels to celebrate this special day and officially welcome the BBQ season in your home. Try out these scrumptious cocktail recipes for a boozy touch to your first (or fifth) barbeque of the year.
3. Organise A Movie Night
If your dad is a total movie buff, you can spruce up family movie night by setting up a projector or a big screen and show your dad his most favourite movies of all time. If pop is more into TV series, you can always opt to spend the evening with a new series he's been meaning to watch for ages.
4. Create The Ultimate Care Package
While this is technically a gift, creating the ultimate care package for your dad can be a great way to show him your appreciation. You can fill it in with anything from great page-turners, coffee, wine, beers and any of his favourite treats or drinks.
