During those dreaded nights of endless studying, your hand probably aches to reach out for a salty bag of crisps as a little snack. The question is, however, are your snacks the proper kind of brain food which you should be taking? Probably not, which is why we listed down a couple of snacks which are not only tasty, but will help you get ultimate brain level optimisation.

Mixed Nuts

Simple almonds, cashews and walnuts could do the trick to keep you from having regular walks to the refrigerator. They're also a good source of Vitamin E! If you want to add a bit of a kick to your snack, sprinkle some garlic powder, cinnamon or pepper for some added flavour!

Apple and Peanut Butter

Apples are already a healthy snack on their own, but if you add a dollop of peanut butter to the equation, for some protein, then you've got a snack fit for champions! It's guaranteed to keep you alert while you're studying.

Popcorn

Yes! Popcorn is actually a healthy snack! It's low in calories and has some fibre. Just try to refrain from adding salt to it to keep it healthy, but if you're still craving for
that bit of flavour try some cinnamon or herbs.

Hummus and Veggies

This is a great, quick, snack! Dig into a container of hummus with some baby carrots, celery and cucumber and you're sorted.

Greek Yoghurt

Like most yoghurts, it's great for your body as it offers tonnes of nutrients and energy. Greek yoghurt, however, is just a little better than your old-fashioned yoghurt as it has lots of extra protein. You could also add some blueberries to add a bit of sugary taste if you'd like.

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds

These little babies are loaded with zinc but the best part is that they help boost memory. The perfect snack for remembering all those important names and dates!

Dark Chocolate

As long as you follow the ‘eating in moderation' rule, you have nothing to worry about here! Dark chocolate, as a snack, provides benefits like antioxidants and the production of endorphins. It will definitely help you in conquering those assignment and study sessions while keeping your mood in check.

We hope these snacks keep you company during your long nocturnal study sessions. Let us know which snacks you find to help you best during the examination period.
