Yellow's iconic last book has been on everybody's minds for the last couple of months and this year we decided to make it extra special by hiding 300 golden tickets in the books distributed across Malta and Gozo. The lucky finders are in with a chance of winning a brand new Toyota Aygo. Talk about striking gold!

About the competition

The much-anticipated competition which will determine who gets to go home with a new car will be held on Saturday 23rd November at The Point Shopping Mall. All contestants will be taking part in a treasure hunt, each one competing against the other. Out of the 31 contestants, 21 are people who found a golden ticket in their copy of the Yellow pages, while 10 are finalists from the 89.7 Bay Radio competition.

How will the competition go down?

A briefing event is going to take place on Monday 18th November at 6pm. During this event the contestants will be given an overview of the general rules, what they are to expect on the day of the treasure hunt, and all the dynamics related to the competition. On the day, the contestants will gather at the Point to battle for the grand prize. Refreshments for all the contestants will be provided by Costa Coffee throughout the event.

An eventful afternoon at The Point

While the treasure hunt is taking place, Yellow will be at The Point giving away free merchandise to all shoppers and spectators walking by. Come say hello and get your hands on our cool sunglasses, mugs and mobile phone holders. You also get to meet Mr Yellow!

Jot the date in your diary and bring your whole family along. The Balloon Man will be modelling exquisite balloons for all kids and a dance troupe from Street Elements Hiphop Artists will be showcasing their hip hop and breakdance talent.

Who's the special guest?

The special guest for the day is none other than our brand ambassador: Ira Losco. She'll be performing live at The Point while the judges are counting the votes. Join us for an entertaining afternoon with Ira!

15:00: Contestants gather at The Point to collect their tote bag with clues

15:30: Start of treasure hunt

16:00: Breakdance Show

16:30: Balloon Man

17:00: End of treasure hunt

17:05: Judges start counting the votes

17:30: Ira Losco performance

18:30: Judges finish counting the votes

19:00: The WINNER of the treasure hunt rides away with a brand new Toyota Aygo

You can also be a winner!

You didn't find a golden ticket, but Yellow can still make you a winner. How? We will be running a competition on Instagram between Saturday 16th November and Saturday 23rd November.

Just go to The Point, take a selfie with the grand prize or in the Mr Yellow Cut-out, and upload it to instagram tagging @yellowmalta and #YellowPoint. Three participants will be picked at random and they will each win a €100 voucher from The Point.
