The Funderija Artistika Joseph Chetcuti is a local establishment that centres its focus on the production of statues in Malta. Situated in Luqa's Industrial Estate, it is one that creates works done in bronze and other precious materials.

It was established by local artist Joseph Chetcuti, who concentrated on creating his own sculptures — inadvertently presenting Malta with some of the country's most beautiful authentic bronze statuary. The process is a meticulous one that includes the creation of molds made from silicone rubber. These molds are later on covered in a layer of fibreglass, in order to ensure that it is well supported as a cast.

Later on a wax copy is created by pouring melted wax over the cast. This forms a range of copies which enable the artists to check for any defects in the cast. The wax is attached to a range of specialised pipes which facilitate the process when it comes to pouring melted bronze in them.

The wax is later on covered in specialised fire resistant materials, in order to enable it to withstand the heat of the furnace. After that, melted bronze is poured into the cavities and left to cool. The pipes are later on discarded and the bronze statue is finished and polished with wax.
