UPVC comes with many benefits

UPVC is very versatile and therefore, can come with many benefits and is ideal to be used on many occasions. Most commonly, it is used to create custom window frames regardless of how the window is shaped. This material is also known as Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride and it is known for being a low-maintenance building material and is used as a substitute for painted wood and the maintenance that might entail. It is also used when double glazing is installed in new buildings or even to replace older types of windows.

For all those who love the environment it is also important to know that uPVC is environmentally friendly as it can be recycled up to 10 times and this is in fact done all over Europe.

Low cost

Another reason why uPVC is used is that it is very inexpensive to purchase and also inexpensive to maintain. Cleaning uPVC is very easy, you only need a damp cloth and you won't need to do this often either as this material does not get dirty very easily. You will not have to worry about breaking the bank when it comes to providing your premises with a high-quality material that will last you a lifetime and will always look as new.

Thermal comfort

UPVC is extremely durable even in the harsh weather that our island can sometimes provide. It will not be affected by the changes in the climate, unlike other materials such as wood. It is also known as being able to provide a high level of thermal comfort. It is known to be a highly efficient thermal insulator which is a fact that continues to make this material one of the most sought after materials in the building and construction industry.

Noise insulation

When you pair a double glazed window with uPVC you are ensuring that the noise pollution that is occurring on the other side of the glass is cut by a significant amount from your side. In fact, double glazed uPVC windows can cut down noise by up to 70%,making quite a difference when it comes to the peace and quiet that one wants on the inside of their premises.

Safety and security

UPVC apertures are very secure as when you get these apertures installed you will be able to incorporate many locking systems that are able to provide you with a high level of security. This is ideal for both businesses and domestic premises alike. UPVC can have multi-locking systems at multiple points around the frame, this ensures that an intruder cannot just force entry into the building as if he was trying to open wood apertures and aluminum ones.

An added point of safety is the fact that in case of a fire uPVC materials are not prone to combustion, in fact, the whole frame is fire retardant making it safer if an emergency should happen. This gives you an added form of protection and provides you with even more peace of mind when it comes to the safety and security of your premises.
