A person that has ADHD means that he or she has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. This medical condition affects a person's brain development and brain activity which lead to difficulties in attention, ability to sit still and control one's self even when alone. ADHD Malta (Support Group) seeks to provide support, empowerment and education to any relatives who have ADHD in their family.

Our non-profit organisation assists families with ADHD children or adults by advocating primarily for the rights of persons with ADHD. The Support Group is constantly working with the professionals in the subject to organise various meetings and events during which parents and other family members can be given advice and stay informed on the developments of ADHD. Moreover, our support group serves as a point of reference and comfort for families who struggle to manage ADHD in their relatives with confidential consultations on how to tackle the difficult Read Moremoments together.  

ADHD Malta has also the aim to keep this disability condition on the local authorities' agenda, so that awareness, assistance and education on it remain a constant. ADHD affects children and young adults while at school, at home, at work or out with friends, so it needs to be treated with sensitivity. We don't look at persons with ADHD as a failure but we help them and their families in bringing out the positiveness of it. For ADHD Malta it is essential that people suffering from ADHD are treated equally and given the same opportunities as others.

The events and courses we organise are aimed at educating and bringing out the community's empathy towards ADHD persons. People suffering from ADHD can be successful just the same, and in Malta we have inspiring examples of young ones who managed to succeed in international sports competitions! At ADHD Malta we also organise  ADHD Adult Coaching training courses for those interested to become an ADHD life coach for ADHD persons to help them achieve and improve their behavioural performance, plus focus on the positive goals to reach, by becoming good listeners without a judgemental mind.
